Program manager Naturland Academy (m/f/d)

24/08/30 - We are looking for a program manager for the Naturland Academy (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible in Gräfelfing near Munich.

Naturland - Verband für ökologischen Landbau e. V. is the largest international association for organic agriculture. With 116,000 farmers, beekeepers and fish farmers in more than 60 countries around the world, we stand for the fact that ecological, social and fair management is a successful project worldwide.

We are looking for a
Program manager for the Naturland Academy

at the earliest possible date, as a full-time position at our head office in Gräfelfing near Munich.

Your tasks

  • Technical support and coordination of international educational activities, projects and project applications
  • Technical management of Naturland trainers and experts in target countries worldwide
  • Allocation of resources of Naturland trainers and experts to the respective projects and technical education activities
  • Capacity development and training of actors and organizations in organic farming
  • Establishment and coordination of a network of Naturland demo plots and farms
  • Creation of educational and training units, learning content and materials (in English and other languages)
  • Technical assessments, conceptualization and evaluations for relevant topics related to organic farming, standards etc.
  • Development and implementation of international symposia (technical), seminars, conferences and training courses in various formats (face-to-face, hybrid, online etc.).
  • Coordination and implementation of educational activities in projects as a short-term expert
  • Writing and revising specialist publications

Your profile

  • Successfully completed agricultural studies and practical experience in organic agriculture or horticulture
  • Sound specialist knowledge of the cultivation of different (including tropical/subtropical) crops, best practice cultivation, climate resilience etc.
  • Management experience, especially with international projects and stakeholders
  • Experience in the field of training and/or development cooperation
  • At least 8 years of professional experience
  • Excellent knowledge of English; good knowledge of German and other languages desirable (Spanish/French/Italian)
  • Commitment, innovative spirit, initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to travel
