04/01/23 - For our Capacity & Community Building team in Gräfelfing near Munich, we are looking for (initially temporary) for the next possible date in full time an Employee (m/f/d) in Project management and capacity development

Naturland - Association for Organic Agriculture e.V. promotes organic agriculture worldwide and, with 140,000 farmers, is the largest international association for organic agriculture in Germany. We are looking for an

Employee (m/f/d) in Project management and capacity development
Focus on a cooperation project for the development of organic farming in Georgia (approx. 50 percent)

 

Your tasks

  • Steering of a partnership project in Georgia (KVP) for the promotion of organic farming and its structures
  • Content and financial monitoring of the project's progress on the basis of the application, approval and detailed planning
     
  • Preparation of technical and financial project reports and project accounts
  • Supervision and backstopping of local project staff in Georgia and recruitment of experts in the project
  • Capacity development and training of actors and organisations in organic farming
  • Technical supervision and coordination of international educational activities and projects 
  • Coordination of education and training sessions, learning content and materials (in English and other languages)
  • Cooperation and coordination with strategic partners and project partners, e.g. foundations, GIZ, SEQUA

 

Your Profile

  • Completed studies or training as well as practical experience in project-relevant fields (e.g. agriculture, education, project management)
  • Experience in project management and/or organisational development 
  • In-depth knowledge of growing different crops in organic farming (in Georgia probably wine, tea, nuts, wild collection and berries).
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of adult education, capacity building and/or development cooperation
  • Project-relevant language and experience in an international context
  • Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German, other languages desirable
  • Independent and self-reliant action as well as a careful and goal-oriented way of working
  • Willingness to work, innovative spirit, initiative, flexibility and the ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to travel
