Project
Rwanda: supporting organic coffee production

International Commitment

More sustainable organic coffee in Rwanda

Agriculture is Rwanda's most important industry:

It employs around 80% of the population and generates 35% of the country's annual GDP. Nevertheless, organic farming is not yet widespread. In view of the growing global demand for organic coffee and, in particular, premium coffee, there's huge potential here.

The goal of the project is to promote skills development, organizational capacity building and adoption of best practices of Rwandan organic coffee farmers and strengthen their position in the organic value chain.
