mEATQuality

A project for high-quality pork and broiler meat

The mEATquality project aims to improve the quality of conventional and organic pork and chicken products. The influence of various factors, such as genetics and the number of animals or elements such as perches in poultry sheds or bushes in runs, are taken into account. New methods are used to determine origins, quality and safety.

Naturland collects data from organic broiler farms and tests structural elements in the run and shed. For example, the optimal number of perches for chickens is examined. In addition, "normal", slow-growing broilers are compared with dual-purpose breeds and brother cockerels.

Duration: 2021 - 2025 (4 years)
