Naturland is involved in national and international networks, non-governmental organisations and alliances in order to support organic farming, social responsibility and fair trade initiatives.
NATURLAND E. V. IS A MEMBER OF THE FOLLOWING ORGANISATIONS:
The German Association of Organic Food Production (Bund Ökologische Lebensmittelwirtschaft e.V. – BÖLW) is the leading association of organic food producers, processors and retailers in Germany. The BÖLW's aim is for the organic food industry to gain the recognition it deserves from politics and society.
The IFOAM is an international umbrella organisation made up of around 800 organic players from over 100 countries. The IFOAM's aim is to place organic farming centre stage within society by lobbying, informing and offering training for its members.
The German Fair Trade Forum (Forum Fairer Handel – FFH) is the leading fair trade network in Germany. The member organisations of the Fair Trade Forum network collaborate in three key areas: policy and political engagement, campaigning and public relations, and educational initiatives.
PAN campaigns for a healthy world for everyone. A non-profit organisation, it aims to protect people and the environment from pesticides and to promote environmentally friendly, socially sound alternatives. To achieve this, PAN provides information on the negative effects of using pesticides and advises politicians, farmers and consumers. PAN Germany is part of the international Pesticide Action Network (PAN).
The Leading Organic Alliance (LOA) is a consortium of the leading European organic associations and certification bodies. The network focuses its efforts on specific aspects of sustainability, quality assurance issues and discussions among established working groups. The LOA is a decentralised network, so it does not have an office or staff. The consortium is coordinated by its members on a rotating basis.
The somewhat unusual "bio - regional - fair" (organic - regional - fair trade) alliance is made up of several different groups based in Bavaria that work together to raise awareness of the advantages of organic, regional and fair trade products among consumers.
The Naturland Fair Partner Network brings together producers of Naturland Fair-certified products. The aim of the network is to enable members to exchange fair trade information and updates.
